Dr. Kalyani M. Kumar, Co-founder and President of the American Wellness Alliance, has had a distinguished career as a physician, educator and innovative pioneer in medicine. Her work on behalf of advances in healthcare has earned her numerous awards from the local community, the White House, Senatorial and Congressional Representatives. The Congressional Leadership Council named Dr. Kumar, “Physician of the Year ” for 2002-2005.

On September 17, 2004, the Consumer Research Council of America selected Dr. Kumar as one of the Top Obstetrician and Gynecologists in the nation. In December of 2004, the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Physician’s Advisory board recognized Dr. Kumar as a “Pioneer of Healthcare Reform” for 2004.

Dr. Kumar received her medical degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and completed her residency training in OB/GYN at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Staten Island New York. A physician in private practice, Dr. Kumar has held positions as Director of Gynecology Surgery at Virginia Institute for Laparoscopic and Laser Surgery at Columbia Henrico Hospital. She also served as Director of the Mid-Atlantic Microendoscopy Center at Columbia Hanover Outpatient Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Kumar has served as faculty for various gynecology endoscopy courses, including laparoscopy hysterectomy, office hysteroscopy, microlaparoscopy and other operative laparoscopic techniques both nationally and internationally, including Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Singapore, France, Italy, Israel, Canada and India. Dr. Kumar is the author of numerous medical journals and publications.

As an internationally recognized expert in the Science of Immune Health Management, Dr. Kumar lectures and teaches classes on Immune Health Management, for hospital systems, physicians, healthcare professionals, local, state and federal governmental agencies and corporate business. Her work in this area has led to the development of several international educational alliances in the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Dr. Kumar is the co-author of several other books scheduled to be published, including Achieving Optimal Health Through Intercellular and Molecular Medicine© (ICMM), The Immunologic Management of HIV/AIDS© and the Immunologic Management of the Common Cold and Influenza©.

Dr. Kumar ’s recent discoveries in the areas of Multi-System Modulation™ (MSM) and System Modulation™ (SYM) are helping to advance the science of immune health management.
